NBC Days of Our Lives comings and goings confirm Jamie Lyn Bauer is returning to Salem as Laura Horton. The actress confirmed the news on her official Facebook page. She filmed her scenes in December 2020. We are thinking that Laura’s return must have something to do with Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) vendetta against the Deveraux family.

Jamie Lyn Bauer’s Return

DOOL comings and goings reveal that Bauer told her fans and followers that she filmed six scenes for the NBC soap in early December. Normally, the soap films six to eight months in advance. However, that timeline isn’t accurate anymore due to the pandemic, production shutdowns, COVID rules changing how everything operates, etc. In fact, the actress indicated that her scenes would begin airing on February 2, 2021.

The actress talked about the new COVID-19 guidelines. She indicated that it’s quite a different world now. She explained that they get two tests at the beginning of each work week and afterward, one test each day. You enter the building, take your test, then sit in your car until they get the result. Once it’s negative, they let you in the building. Bauer said masks are worn everywhere, rehearsing lines is done over the phone and the cast has to do their own hair and makeup. They are only allowed 15 minutes for that and they actually set timers.

Gwen Rizczech’s Revenge

Days of Our Lives comings and goings indicate that Laura’s return must have something to do with Gwen. She has been targeting the Deveraux family, but special emphasis seems to be on Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). But Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) are starting to compare notes and know that Gwen’s been lying to them. Plus, Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) found years of newspaper clippings on the Deveraux family. So, perhaps Laura can shed some light into what this revenge scheme is all about.

The last time we saw Laura on-screen was in 2018. She has appeared in storylines revolving around Abigail’s mental illness, including when she faked her death. The time she was presumed dead, Abigail was getting treatment from Laura. She has a lot of history in Salem. There is speculation that Gwen might be related to the Deveraux family, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. So, we will have to keep watching to see what we can find out about this storyline and if it’s connected to Laura’s return.
