‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’: Whitney Way Thore Thinks Fans Have Fatphobia
On TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Way Thore has had some great relationships and some that are not so great. Take, for example, her past one with Chase Severino. During quarantine, he ended up being with another woman and just had a baby with her! Whitney thinks that her fans think her relationships aren’t real because they have fatphobia.
Is The Show Scripted?
Many viewers of My Big Fat Fabulous Life feel that Whitney has faked her friendships and relationships. There are even fans of the show that say they know exactly when they realized that the show is fake.
They said that there was a moment that they knew and it was when Whitney and Chase were coming home from Paris. This fan pointed out that on the flight home from Paris, they saw the couple and they weren’t sitting with one another and they didn’t even look at one another on that flight home.
When My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member Whitney brought this up to fans, she said that it was extremely creepy that fans are watching them like that. She was quick to shut down these allegations and she opened up about why she didn’t sit with him.
It was tough for her to share this information because it was all about her weight. Her weight is clearly an issue to her and that is why she is trying to stay in better shape. She told her fans that she and Chase didn’t sit together because she needed two seats.
Whitney appreciates her fans, but she has told them that it hurts her feelings when they think she can’t have real relationships because of her weight. She said,
“I think it’s a sad reflection on the fact that people think that fat women can’t be loved or that they have a feeling that this person is too attractive or this person’s too good for her or why would they want her? To me, it just speaks about how people view fat women.”
The new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs on Tuesday nights on TLC.
