Counting On News: Anna Duggar Shades Josh’s Mom Michelle

Counting On’s Anna Duggar has opened up a lot more lately about being a part of the Duggar family. She recently threw some shade their way after posting a photograph of her family on Instagram. She wrote, “This photo definitely belongs in the expectations vs. reality file…but we had fun trying to take a family pic at church today. Hope y’all have had a wonderful Sunday!”

The photo that Anna posted featured her and husband, Josh Duggar with their six children. One fan asked, “Are they buddying their siblings? Mackenzie looks like a great big sis.” Anna wrote back, “We do not have a buddy system. I’m mom, and as much as possible, I want our children to be free and enjoy their childhood!” Was this a jab at the Duggar’s buddy system that Josh grew up with?

The buddy system that she is alluding to is one that Michelle Duggar has spoken about on Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting. She said, “We realized it works much better if we’re trying to hurry to have one of the older ones help the little guys buckle their seatbelts. I have noticed the ones that were teamed up and worked together a lot have such a sweetness in their relationship.”

The Duggars also had a color-coded chart for their chores that Michelle spoke about quite a bit. “All pink are Jana and her team. All blue are Jill and her team. There is a schedule from morning until bedtime so that they know what to expect- what their goals are, what they are aiming for, what they try to get done.”

Michelle Duggar has been slammed for years by viewers about having her kids raise her kids, and not enjoy their childhood.  Ironically, those are almost the exact words that Anna Duggar used when stating she doesn’t want to put that kind of pressure on her kids.

Counting On News: Anna & Josh Duggar Having More Children?

From the post, it sounds as if Anna and Josh Duggar do not follow his mother’s old buddy system or chore chart. It also doesn’t sound like these two want to stop having children.
