Love Island Season 2 is coming back, much to the excitement of reality dating show fans everywhere. While the British version of the show may have canceled its plans this year because of the ongoing pandemic that has been the coronavirus, the U.S. is moving forward as planned, even though the show won’t technically be on an island. Instead, the entire summer 2020 season will take place at a Las Vegas hotel. Here’s what you need to know.
Love Island Season 2 Spoilers: All The Details About The Show’s Quarantine Bubble In Las Vegas
According to new reports, CBS has announced that Love Island will be returning on August 24th. While the British version of the dating competition show is quite risqué, the American version looks very PG-13 in comparison. The entire cast and crew will quarantine for 14 days before making their way to The Cromwell Hotel. There, they will be routinely tested for the coronavirus and will also have their temperatures taken each day.
A press release from the network says, “All Las Vegas staff and crew working on the production and all cast participating will be within quarantined “bubbles” where they will undergo isolation before production begins and be tested prior to beginning work, and the cast will be tested prior to their participation. They will also all be regularly tested throughout the season, as well as screened daily for symptoms.”

The statement also said, “Crew and staff will be required to wear PPE and work in pods to enhance social distancing. Stringent and ongoing cleaning and disinfecting protocols in filming and production areas will be in place. In addition, COVID-19 compliance officers will be on staff to monitor and enforce all health and safety COVID-19 protocols.”

Love Island Season 2 will air nightly with one hour episodes following its two-hour premiere along with a two-hour recap show that will air each Saturday.
