Little by little the film and television industry is going back to work, even though Covid-19 is still very much a threat in many different parts of the country, including Southern California. CBS was hoping to bring back Big Brother by the beginning of July, but new reports have indicated that it will be another months before the contestants will be called in to begin testing for Covid-19 before the houseguests are quarantined in front of the cameras.

According to TMZ, Big Brother was in the middle of casting for its next season when the coronavirus outbreak began making headlines in mid-March. As a result, casting was completely shut down in May, leaving Big Brother executives to change their plans and the format to an All-Star edition instead. For the show’s producers, this is the best plan possible, seeing how the Big Brother alums that they plan on bringing back are already familiar with the format of the show and have also been vetted by network execs.

So far CBS has not made no comments about their Big Brother plans but TMZ says that the contestants will be flying in from all across the country and will be tested and quarantined for two weeks before they are cleared to enter the Big Brother house.
