Days of Our Lives Comings & Goings: Judi Evans Returns To DOOL

Days of our Lives comings & goings spoilers reveal that a fan fave is back on the canvas but not in the role in which she debuted in 1986. Judi Evans has returned to the NBC sudser as Bonnie Lockhart, the lookalike to Adrienne Kiriakis.

Fans knew for a while that the lovely and talented actress was returning as her costar and onscreen husband Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) let the cat out of the bag on his social media.

Since then Days of Our Lives fans have been eagerly anticipating Evans’ return and wondering who she would return as.

We now know that Evans is playing the ex-con with a heart of gold plate, Bonnie Lockhart. Evans recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest about her return saying that there is one thing about her character that hasn’t changed and that is that Bonnie still has the hots for Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). “I get all the good guys,” she joked!

She’s referring to her other character’s partnership with Justin whom Bonnie does meet up with, ironically at the grave of his dead wife.

About her return to Salem Evans said, “Oh my gosh, I’m honored, I’m grateful. I love, obviously, working here.” She added that, “Bonnie’s so fun. She’s naughty, but with a good heart somewhere deep down inside. It’s such a pleasure to play her, for sure.”

She went on to say that every day on the set is a challenge, in a good way. “Challenges make you alive and vibrant. I’m just so grateful because they give me the best challenges.”

Judi was careful not to give too many details about her return away, but she did tease that Bonnie is a bit changed from the last time we saw her and notes that she’s been on a journey to redemption.

Does that mean that Bonnie might find love with Justin? As she was it is hard to think that Bonnie and Justin would spark. He’s a legal eagle and very straight-laced. Bonnie on the other hand is never one to let an opportunity go to waste.
