It will be up to Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to save her man from a threat that she fears. She ends up recruiting two people to help save John and it might give them the redemption they seek.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Orpheus had no intention of helping out John’s son, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). His goal was to help his own son, Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly). However, when May sweeps kicks off, expect the supervillain to cause some serious Salem mayhem by making a bold move that will shock the town.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, it is confirmed that Marlena won’t be the one in distress in upcoming episodes. Like with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), the roles will be reversed. It will now be up to Marlena to save the man she loves.  It is suggested that Orpheus might kidnap John in order to get what he wants.

It is confirmed that Marlena turns to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Not only will this give the two a mission to accomplish, but it will also give them redemption.

The pair have gone through so much during the past year. Even though their devious deeds were because of brain chips, Steve and Hope can’t seem to forgive themselves. This just might be the answer to their problem and will give viewers not one, but two redemption stories.

They can prove to everyone in Salem — and themselves — that there is a light at the end of the brain-chipped tunnel. They can turn their negative situation into something positive and save John’s life. Can they do it and defeat Orpheus? Or could they find their own lives in danger? Fans will have to keep watching the NBC soap to see how this story ends.
