Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: There’s A New Guy In Town Who’s The Spitting Image Of Stefan DiMera

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that there’s a new guy in town who’s the spitting image of Stefan – Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) met him when he went to apply for a mechanic’s job at a new automotive garage in Salem. His name is Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Ben cannot get over how much he looks like Stefan – exactly like Stefan!

On a recent Days of Our Lives episode, he told Ben he looked like he’d seen a ghost, and Ben told Jake all about Stefan, including that he had spent time in an orphanage and been adopted by a family named Maitlin, and he had first lived his life as a corporate raider named Sam Maitlin, until Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) brought him to Salem and revealed him as her son from one night stand in Monte Carlo with Stefano DiMera (then Joseph Mascolo).

Nothing rang a bell for Jake, as far as he knew he had not been adopted so he didn’t think he could have had a twin separated from him at birth. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Ben told Jake he would see if he could find a photograph of Stefan for him, but Jake wasn’t all that interested or curious, he could always look him up on the Internet and Ben said there would probably be a lot of photos of him in the Salem Spectator.

Gabi is coming out from the Salem Inn when she spots “Stefan” in front of The Bistro, she gasps, “Stefan”? and faints dead away onto the ground! Jake sees this and rushes over to her, picks her up and gets her roused and asks if she’s okay?

In coming days, Gabi will be more and more convinced that Jake is Stefan and act accordingly, and he will realize she is Stefan’s widow. At least he had a heads-up from Ben! If she were not so aggressive, which is a real turn-off for the macho Jake, he might even ask her out, but she is way too over the top for him!

Besides, no matter how he tries to explain that he is not her late husband, and no matter how hard he tries to get away from her, she keeps coming back for more rejection! Jake kind of feels sorry for her – it is a shame when such a beautiful, albeit difficult woman is widowed so young!

He is nothing like Stefan DiMera – except he just happens to look like his twin, otherwise everything is different! Stefan wore business wear, Jake wears dirty mechanic’s overalls! How can Gabi not tell the difference?
