Meghan Markle Slammed By Journalist As “Higher End Trailer Trash”
Should those who live in trailers be offended now that Meghan Markle has been described as, “five clicks up from trailer trash?”
You know what they say about opinions, everybody’s got one, and when one journalist expressed hers about Meghan Markle controversy ensued.
Is trailer trash such a bad thing?
Meghan Markle was compared to higher end trailer trash
On a video interview gone viral, correspondent Victoria Mather can be seen discussing Megxit and the way in which Meghan and her husband–you know, Harry the prince guy—jetted off from England and apparently haven’t looked back.
Mather said, “I think what has really, really upset the British public is that Meghan Markle, who many people consider as only, you know, five clicks up from trailer trash, has actually tried to disrespect the queen. And the queen is the most respected person, most respected woman, in the world.”
Everyone has their favorites, but the Queen is right up there at the top of the respect list—she is the longest living monarch after all.
Will the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry ever return to the U.K. to live?
The topic was the Sussex’s fateful decision to divorce the royal family. Mather was interviewed from NBC’s London bureau and after her comment the host quickly ended the interview.
Mather received a stream of criticism afterward with Twitter users using words like “racist” and “disgusting” to describe her comments. Apparently, they did not use the words trailer trash.
One response stated that the interview was a, “complete validation Meghan and Harry made the right choice to leave the royal family.”
Who is correspondent Victoria Mather?
Who is Mather? She has worked as the Vanity Fair travel editor and reportedly is now at Air Mail, founded by esteemed former Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter.
Read her words again—she doesn’t say Meghan is trailer trash, she thinks the former actress is five clicks above such a situation. That is a compliment is it not?
The Sussex’s are reportedly house hunting in L.A. Do you think they have any trailer parks on their short list? If so it would have to be an awfully swank one since rumor is they want to see and be seen in Malibu, an enclave where trailers are usually reserved for horses and hoes.
