The Blacklist Season 7 has a special guest star. Anthony Michael Hall has landed a role in James Spader’s NBC drama, according to Entertainment Tonight. Hall will appear in numerous episodes throughout the season as Donald Ressler’s (Diego Klattenhoff) estranged brother, Robby. He will make his debut in the April 24 episode. According to TV Series Finale, the schedule was originally scheduled for April 17 but was pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

When Hall reconnects with his brother, he leads Ressler to the discovery of secrets that have been hidden away. ETOnline revealed the first photos of Hall on the set of The Blacklist. The 52-year-old actor will be introduced on Episode 16, titled “Nyle Hatcher.” He will also guest appear on Episode 17, titled “Brothers,” which will air May 1. It also includes Breaking Bad alum, Mark Margolis.

Last month, Hall teased his guest-starring appearance on Instagram. He shared a collage of photos from the set. “Coming soon,” he wrote in the caption alongside the hashtag “#GreatShow.”

Both Spader and Hall achieved fame in the 80s in numerous iconic John Hughes films, such as The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. However, they never shared the screen together. Hall’s other acting credits include Awkward, The Dead Zone, Murder in the First, and Psych.

The NBC series is said to focus on family this season. John Eisendrath shared details about the season in a previous interview with ET.

“Liz is caught in between warring parents, a very relatable story our viewers can understand because it happens in everybody’s lives. The adult child trying to navigate between parental figures in her life, asking who should she trust and who should she believe. That’s the through line and the stakes, hopefully, are life and death for the characters. Katarina will die unless she gets the truth she’s looking for from Reddington and Reddington would rather die than give that truth up. The stakes couldn’t be higher and Liz is caught in the middle.”
