Tiger King News: Joe ‘Exotic’ Maldonado-Passage’s Isolated In Texas Prison After Coronavirus Outbreak In Jail
Tiger King is a hit on Netflix and memes are circulating around Facebook with his face plastered on them. In reality, Joe “Exotic” Maldonado-Passage is in a Texas prison. He is serving a 22-year sentence for his involvement in a murder-for-hire plot and for animal abuse. His husband recently explained that “Exotic” is now in coronavirus isolation.
Netflix Tiger King Updates: Oklahoma Prison COVID-19 Outbreak
Before transferring to his current prison, Maldonado-Passage was incarcerated at Grady County Jail, located in Oklahoma. However, there was a coronavirus outbreak at the penitentiary. That resulted in the Netflix star being transferred to another facility.
According to BBC, there are 226,374 confirmed cases of COVID-19 throughout the United States. Each day, that number keeps on skyrocketing and officials are trying to balance saving lives with protecting the US economy.

“Joe Exotic” is now at a the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas after several inmates tested positive for coronavirus at Grady County Jail. His husband, Dillon Passage, said that he hasn’t been able to speak to Joe since the transfer took place.
Tiger King: Joe Maldonado-Passage’s Husband Gives Update
Dillon told Andy Cohen that the new facility has put his husband in coronavirus isolation based on the outbreak at the Oklahoma jail.
“We speak like three to five times every day, but since he’s been moved to this new facility, they are putting him on a COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases. I’ve yet to speak to him since he moved.”
Netflix Tiger King Updates: Individual Coronavirus Quarantine
When asked if Maldonado-Passage was in an individual quarantine setting, Dillon said yes, as far as he knows.
Just yesterday, the US Bureau of Prisons said that federal inmates would be in quarantine for 14 days. This includes an estimated 146,000 prisoners. The announcement comes after many inmates, prison guards, correctional officers, and others began testing positive. It is now spreading like wildfire throughout jails and prisons across the United States.
In addition to that testing positive for coronavirus, there have also been a large number of deaths. Despite those that have broken the law, the government is required to value their lives as much as those who are free.
