If Loving You Is Wrong spoilers tease the series returns tonight with it’s fifth and final season. There are still many unanswered questions, particularly what’s the connection between Alex Montgomery (Amanda Clayton) and Ian Glenn (Jay Hunter).

The series is an American primetime television soap opera which was created, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry. It premiered on September 9, 2014 and focuses on the lives and relationships of husbands and wives who live on Castillo Lane in the fictional community of Maxine.

Over the four seasons which have already aired, the show stars; Clayton as Alex, Heather Hemmens as Marcie, April Parker Jones as Natalie, Zulay Henao as Esperanza and Edwina Findley Dickerson as Kelly, the female leads of the show with their quest to find love in the midst of some very complex lives.

Alex has been a lead from very beginning of the show and her story has been complicated ever since. She is a housewife, married to Brad (Aiden Tuner). But their marriage is one the neighbors must talk about. Their complicated love life includes Brad’s fling with Marcie and Alex’s fling with Randal (Eltony Williams) which caused some problems for them when it was revealed that Alex was pregnant.

Alex already has two children with Brad and then he had a vasectomy. She was caught having an affair with Randal who can be called a mischievous person. This affair ended her friendship with Marcie and caused troubles for her with Brad. She believed for quite some time that her third child, a son was Randal’s but a DNA test proved otherwise, So if Brad had a vasectomy and Randal is not the father, then who is?

Well, viewers were introduced to a new character in season 4, Ian Glenn. He is a criminal defense attorney and partner at firm and friend of Lushion (Charles Malik Whitfield). He was Kelly’s attorney during her rough case with Travis (Denzel Wells) and his family. Ian wants a new home and thus hires Marcie, a real estate agent to help him. This is how he ran into Alex whom he called “Jennifer Papa”. While Alex seemed puzzle by the name and denies knowing him, there seems to be much more to the story.

Obviously, they share an intimate past and he could be the father to her third child. Will we learn the who truth about their connection and will Ian turn out to be her baby’s daddy? Watch the return of the new season tonight on OWN.
