Love and Hip Hop New York: Can Kimbella And Yandy Ever Be Friends Again?

Love and Hip Hop New York’s Somaya Reece was a spiritualist. She believed in the new age mumbo jumbo and she even thought reading positive affirmations over tea would be enough to heal the rift between Kim “Kimbella” Vanderhee and Yandy Smith-Harris.

The two were going at each other the last time Somaya saw them and so she thought something drastic like tea would be enough to bring them back together again.

Somaya invited them both parties to a tea sit-down. Some of their wires were crossed because no one was expecting to come in and see a visual of what a cult would like, but both women still chose to stay at tea. They were seated right across from each other.

This was the first time that Kimbella and Yandy had seen each other since the fight and it was pretty calm. No one shouted at the person or even mentioned the fight. They all pretended like it didn’t happen.

They also wanted to see where this “tea” was going. Somaya handed out positive affirmations that she wanted everyone to read out to the group and at first it was fine. It wasn’t until it got to Yandy that it became a problem.

Yandy’s positive affirmation brought up forgiveness. Something in which she was not ready for and so Yandy chose to leave rather than repeat what the affirmation said out loud.  No one was ready to forgive or forget.
