The Bachelor Casting Senior Citizens For New Dating Competition

A Bachelor for senior citizens is coming soon. The Bachelor franchise is about to get bigger with a new version of the popular series about “seniors looking for love.” The casting announcement was revealed last month. New details about the show were revealed during Monday’s episode of The Bachelor. ABC is holding a casting call for people 65 and over, as per CNN.

The Bachelor Franchise Is About To Get Bigger With A New Version

ABC reality show Robert Mills tweeted the following message: “#BachelorNation give us your Grumpiest Old Men, give us your Goldenest Girls. #TheBachelor.” He retweeted his message and included the following: “To be clear, this is 65+.”

A Bachelor fan suggested that the new show should be filmed in Boca Raton, Florida, where many senior citizens retire. Mills agreed with the fan, responding: “I always say the audience are the best producers.”

Producer Lindsay Liles previously teased the casting call on Instagram on Jan. 27. She wrote: “Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance? The producers of The Bachelor are looking for active and outgoing single men and women in their golden for a new exciting dating show.”

Producers Haven’t Yet Found The Right Senior Citizens For The Series

The casting information is on the official Bachelor website. Producers haven’t yet found the right senior citizens for the series. It turns out that senior citizens want to fall in love too. They’re looking for active and outgoing senior citizens who are willing to respond to a 60-question survey and share at least one photo of him or herself.

The news of this new show is refreshing, especially after Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, which has been filled with controversy and drama. The Bachelor franchise is mostly centered around men and women in their early 20s.

Bachelor Fans Have Complained That Peter’s Contestants Are Too Young And Immature

Bachelor fans have complained that Peter’s contestants are too young and immature. On Season 24 of The Bachelor, there is only one contestant who is above the age of 30. This issue has gotten increasingly worse overtime.

ABC hasn’t revealed any other details about this new show, including the name. It’s also unclear whether Chris Harrison will host. The new show follows behind the other spinoff series, including The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, and Bachelor Winter Games. There are also two other Bachelor spinoffs in the works – Bachelor Summer Games and The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart.

Hopefully this new show will address the ageism problem on the Bachelor. What are your thoughts on this new show? Will you watch senior citizens find love? Sound off below in the comments section.
