Loki’s Show Synopsis Has Confirmed The Setting And Story Details
News of the Loki television series was revealed in late 2018. It was around the same time that the other Marvel spinoff series were announced. The series is expected to run for six episodes, which will be directed by Kate Herron, who’s also behind the Sex Education series. However, Loki will not focus on the character that passed away in Avengers: Infinity War. Instead, it’ll be focused on the alternate reality that took place on Avengers: Endgame.
Hiddleston will be the star of the series. Sophia Di Martino has also been cast as the female version of Loki. Owen Wilson has also been reported to play a major role on the series. Rumors have been swirling that Loki could introduce its first ever transgender character. Details about the show’s synopsis has finally been revealed by Disney.
“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki,’ the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Kate Herron directs, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year – 2021,” the company said in an official statement released by Screen Rant.

Time Travel Will Be A Core Aspect Of The Series
Since the series will happen after the events on Avengers: Endgame, time travel will be a core aspect of the series. The first teaser image showed the character in 1975. A movie poster for Jaws shown behind him in the background. The Super Bowl ad for Disney+ also showed Loki wearing a TVA Jumpsuit, which stands for Time Variance Authority in the comic books. Loki’s plot could be related to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and could also reveal what’s going on in WandaVision.
There are very little details at the moment. Loki is currently in the preproduction stage. Hiddleston and Marvel are being mum at the moment. Fans will have to wait sometime for Loki to come out. Loki could be available for streaming on Disney+ in early 2021.
