The Lost Boys Revamped Reboot Gets Pilot Order at The CW

Those from the 80s remember the hit vampire movie “The Lost Boys” starring Keifer Sutherland, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. It is a cult classic and the latest news confirms The CW network has given another pilot order for the reboot. The Original Vampire Movie

Released in 1987, The Lost Boys movie centered around a family that moves to a small town. Shortly after arriving, the two brothers discover that it is a haven for vampires.

In addition to starring Sutherland, Haim and Feldman, the cast list also included Jason Patric, Dianne Wiest, Barnard Hughes, Edward Hermann and Jami Gertz.

Last Season’s Reboot

Fans of the original movie were looking forward to the reboot when it was first announced. However, Deadline reported in July 2019 that the show did not get the green light. Even so, the network wasn’t canning the project. It would go back to the drawing board and get some adjustments.

The Lost Boys Revamped Reboot

Deadline is now reporting that “The Lost Boys” revamped reboot has received a pilot order from The CW. It is being called a “retooled version of the pilot The CW ordered last season.” The show is from Rob Thomas and Heather Mitchell.

TV Reboot News: Changes In Revamped Pilot

Marcos Siega is considered a top pilot director. He is known for directing the pilots for “The Vampire Diaries” and “Batwoman.” He has come on board to direct “The Lost Boys” pilot. Another change with the revamped reboot is Thomas has co-written the reworked script with Mitchell. Last time, it was just Mitchell that was doing the writing.

One more change is that previously, two actors from the original pilot were going to reprise their roles. However, those options have expired and casting will be done with a fresh take. We will keep you updated with new developments and information as it is released.
